[Changshu, August 13, 2020] On 13th August 2020, the factory acceptance test of PEACE S1 was achieved in the submarine cable factory, where representatives from PEACE, the contractor and manufacturer attended the ceremony.

The ceremony is of strategic significance in PEACE Cable System which means half of the PEACE Cable System S1 construction has been done. As scheduled, PEACE S1 would secure its commercial operation in second half of 2021 and provide the high-speed tele communication between Pakistan and Egypt.

Xiao Yanmin, Senior Project Director of PEACE Cable International Network, said, “The completion of S1 submarine cable FAT is a very critical step for PEACE, which means that PEACE is closer to delivery. We look forward to seeing the day when PEACE is completed, and having more partners who can join hands with us to realize the vision of world interconnection.”
